Target: School Leaders, Career/Counseling Masters, S6 Class Teachers and S6 Parent Representatives

Venue: Lecture Theatre, 4/F West Block, Kowloon Tong Education    Services Centre
Introduction: The New Senior Secondary (NSS) Curriculum has been implemented since September 2009. Schools have been committed to implement the NSS Curriculum and making progress steadily. A major challenge ahead is how to develop students' personal and life-long aspirations for work or further studies in accordance with individual abilities, aptitudes and interests based on what students have studied in the NSS as well as the latest information on multiple pathways. Students are soon taking the first Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, and the results would be released on 20 July 2012 (Friday). Faced with the new challenges, schools need to take into consideration their school context and students' needs in developing action plans and giving guidance to students from school leadership level to class teacher level.

In light of this, the Education Bureau organised 11 identical workshops between 3 October and 14 November 2011. Our targeted participants were school leaders, career/counseling masters, S6 class teachers and S6 parent representatives. These participants from each school came as a team to discuss their school-based preparation and planning towards the HKDSE result release day to help students make a journey to success.
