Remarks:
- Vocational Training Council offers both publicly-funded and self-financing sub-degree programmes
- Effective from 1 September 2021, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has been retitled Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU)
Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (formely known as "The Federation for Continuing Education in Tertiary Institutions") has already recommended that, under the NAS, the general minimum entrance requirement, as set under the updated Common Descriptors for sub-degree programmes (including associate degree programmes and higher diploma programmes), would be Level 2 obtained in five subjects (including Chinese Language and English Language) in the HKDSE Examination or equivalent.
Apart from making direct applications to institutions to apply for the locally accredited post-secondary programmes not covered by JUPAS, students could also lodge their applications via the E-APP. E-APP will transfer the submitted applications to respective institutions. Upon the receipt of applications, institutions will process the applications and contact the students directly, in the same way as those applications submitted directly to the institutions.
